D.V. Lucas was born in Americus, Georgia and raised in Athens, Georgia. In striving to become the first in his family to attend college, D.V. attended Stanford University and would become a member of the graduating Class of 2017. Receiving a Bachelor of Arts with Honors in African & African American Studies with a minor in Psychology, D.V. wrote an honor’s thesis focusing on the impact of Black masculinity depicted within digital pornography on young Black male identity and sexuality. This book stands as a fuller, more robust rendition of that work. We humbly present to you “Mandingo Madness: Digital Pornography’s Impact on Black Male Identity and Sexuality” coming February 4, 2024.
